Dear licensee,

During the 2019 legislative session, the legislature passed SSB 5380 which made a number of regulatory changes regarding opioids. One of the changes, Section 16 of the law, requires all providers to use electronic prescribing for all prescriptions for Schedule II-V substances, and all refills for Schedules III-V. As part of this mandate, the Department of Health is directed to create a waiver for providers experiencing an economic, technological, or other exceptional circumstance which prevents the provider from complying with the e-prescribing mandate. We have created a short (5 question) survey to gather some high-level information about the impacts of this mandate to help as we craft rules establishing this waiver.

Take the 5380 E-prescribing Survey

The survey will be open until August 14, 2020. We appreciate your time and participation! If you have any questions, please contact Cori Tarzwell, policy analyst for the Department of Health at cori.tarzwell@doh.wa.gov.
