Dr. Alisha Halverson is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. Born in Seattle and raised on San Juan Island, she has dedicated much of her life to serving communities across Washington State. Currently, she works as a clinical nurse educator at PeaceHealth Peace Island in Friday Harbor, WA, and manages her private practice, Three Moons Midwifery PLLC. Alisha emphasizes an integrated approach to care, combining evidence-based practices with holistic and adjunct therapies to meet the unique needs of her patients.
Alisha began her healthcare journey as a birth doula, later expanding her expertise to include roles as a lactation educator, childbirth educator, and prenatal yoga instructor. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University.
For Alisha, the most fulfilling aspect of her work is helping nurses to achieve their professional goals and fostering trusting relationships with individuals and families in her private practice. She is committed to listening to their embodied experiences and helping them access both internal and external resources for health and healing.
