Tia Kandul is a licensed practical nurse serving communities throughout Washington, with more than two decades of experience across diverse healthcare roles and settings. She currently serves as Quality Assurance and Patient Advocate at Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital, an inpatient facility supporting behavioral health services across the South Sound region. In this role, she oversees patient advocacy, quality, and regulatory compliance efforts to promote safe, equitable care delivery.
Previously, she has held quality assurance roles within community-based healthcare organizations, including the PACE program at International Community Health Services (ICHS), and served fourteen years as a Nurse Informaticist at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital. Her other clinical background includes inpatient med-surg care and specialty clinic nursing, including urology and gastroenterology.
Ms. Kandul was a member of the inaugural graduating class of Bellevue College’s Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Technology Management program and is an alumna of the Clover Park Technical College Practical Nursing program. She has also served as a preceptor for Healthcare Technology Management students completing capstone projects, supporting the development of future healthcare leaders.
A Washington native from a multigenerational military family, Ms. Kandul is the wife of a Navy veteran, a proud mother of a school-age child, and an executive assistant to a polydactyl cat.
