WABON is responsible for:
- Standards for nursing assistant training and practice.
- Approval and oversite of nursing assistant training programs.
- The state certification exam (or testing) for nursing assistants.
Other state agencies handle licensing, discipline, and other aspects of regulating nursing assistants in Washington.
