The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), is recruiting qualified nurses who work with entry-level licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPN/VNs) for two upcoming meetings that will take place in Chicago, IL. The two meetings are:
- NCLEX-PN Practice Analysis Expert Panel – October 27-28, 2026
- NCLEX-PN Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Expert Panel – December 1-2, 2026
NCSBN conducts both a PN Practice Analysis and a PN KSA meeting every three years in order to ensure that the NCLEX-PN exam continues to reflect current nursing practice.
Both meetings will be composed of a variety of members, representing the NCLEX test user areas and various clinical specialties and practice settings. Members of both panels must meet the following criteria:
- RN or LPN/VN with an active nursing license in good standing
- Currently clinical practice
- Supervises, precepts, and/or mentors newly licensed LPN/VNs (within their first 12 months of practice)
- Has not participated in nursing licensure examination development activities, including development of nursing licensure exam preparation guides and courses, in the previous two years (this does not include volunteer activities with NCSBN)
We are counting on your nominations to help secure membership for both very important panels.
Please respond by July 13, 2026 with the name and contact information (including email addresses) of three or four qualified nurses from your jurisdiction. NCSBN will contact the nominated nurses and move forward with the application review process. Travel-related expenses, such as prepaid airfare and lodging, will be covered by NCSBN. Considering the amount of recommendations received, as well as the selection criteria, it is possible not all applicants will be asked to serve.
