OLYMPIA – The Washington State Board of Nursing (WABON) has taken disciplinary action or withdrawn charges against the following healthcare providers in our state.
WABON is committed to protecting public health and safety by regulating the competency and quality of all Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs), and Nurse Technicians (NTECs).

Benton County
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing charged registered nurse Kirsten Beth Norell (RN60379264) with unprofessional conduct. Charges state that Norell failed to comply with a Board monitoring program referral contract and with the monitoring program. Norell failed to submit monthly self-reports and attendance reports from December 2024 through March 2025 and failed to sign and return a revised monitoring contract.
Clark County
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing summarily suspended the registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licenses of Alexandria Lightning (RN61369516, AP61377210) pending further legal action. In May 2025, the Ohio Board of Nursing indefinitely suspended Lightning’s credentials to practice as a registered nurse and advanced practice registered nurse based on the January 2025 discipline of Norell’s advanced practice registered nurse license by the Nevada Board of Nursing.
Cowlitz County
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing permanently revoked the registered nurse license of Michael J. Ross (RN00150654). In February 2024, the Arizona Board of Nursing revoked Ross’s registered nurse credential for unprofessional conduct related to multiple felony charges filed against Ross in Chelan County Superior Court, state of Washington, including but not limited to, nine counts of Dealing in Depictions of Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct in the Second Degree. In April 2025, Ross was convicted on three counts of Dealing in Depictions of Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct in the First Degree, a class B Felony, and on one count of Felony Criminal Mischief, a class C felony.
King County
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing charged registered nurse Suzanne Elizabeth Wade (RN60246563) with unprofessional conduct. Charges state Wade failed to comply with a Board monitoring program referral contract by withdrawing from the monitoring program.
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing released Ashley Elizabeth Martella (RN61328462) from the terms and conditions on her registered nurse license.
Thurston County
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing charged registered nurse Lynn D. Fredette-Karpicus (RN00147896) with unprofessional conduct. Charges state that on two occasions in November 2023, Fredette-Karpicus documented the withdrawal of controlled substances for two patients but failed to document an administration or waste of the medications, one pill given to a patient was later identified as Lipitor rather than the prescribed Norco, and Fredette-Karipcus provided a patient with an iron pill when a stool softener had been requested. Fredette-Karpicus failed to cooperate with the Board by not submitting a statement in response to the allegations.

Florida
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing released Jennifer P. Brown (RN61141659) from the terms and conditions on her registered nurse license.
Oregon
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing and Cheryl Lynn Sommer (RN60516833, AP60516834) agreed to reinstatement of Sommer’s registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licenses provided Sommer meets relevant regulatory requirements for credentialing. Sommers must continue to comply with a monitoring program and must complete 15 hours of continuing education in the area of Drug Prescribing for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
Tennessee
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing and Terrie Bea Watson (AP61016247) agreed to reinstatement of Watson’s advanced registered nurse practitioner license provided Watson meets relevant regulatory requirements for credentialing. Watson is permanently restricted from prescribing benzodiazepines or carisoprodol and Watson is permanently restricted from prescribing more than a daily morphine equivalent daily dose (MEDD) of 90 to any patient. Watson’s advanced registered nurse practitioner credential is also placed on probation for at least 12 months with terms and conditions.
Utah
In December 2025 the Board of Nursing indefinitely suspended the registered nurse license of Armando Jacob Gameros (RN60735481) and indefinitely suspended his privilege to practice as a registered nurse in Washington under his Utah issued multistate credential. In August 2025, the Wisconsin Board of Nursing revoked Gameros’s privilege to practice in Wisconsin under his Utah issued multistate credential for conduct that included: diversion of controlled substances, falsifying patient records, testing positive for oxycodone and methadone on an employer drug screen, and failure to cooperate with the Board’s investigation. In October 2025, the Minnesota Board of Nursing revoked Gameros’s license to practice for at least five years for conduct that included: diversion of controlled substances, falsifying patient records, exhibiting signs of impairment while on shift, and employer drug screening that indicated a blood alcohol concentration.
